There are weddings you photograph, and then there are weddings you feel. Abby and Daniel’s New Year’s Eve wedding at Plein Air in Taylor, Mississippi was the second kind. An intimate candlelit ceremony, family crowded around people they love, and a reception that turned into a full-blown party as midnight approached. This wedding was the exact right way to close out a year and open a new one.
Part of what makes your wedding day so meaningful is because the whole day is spent with all of your people, from all different walks of life. Abby and Daniel’s wedding at Plein Air was no different. Abby spent the morning getting ready with three of her childhood best friends, while Daniel spent some time with his family.

The Chapel at Plein Air: A Venue Worth Knowing
Tucked away right outside of the city of Oxford is a growing community in Taylor, Mississippi called Plein Air. At the heart of the development is The Chapel, which happens to be the location of the most intimate weddings in Mississippi. The traditional interior gives it that old Southern charm.
If you’re nervous about having a winter wedding because of the shorter days, don’t be! The night sky and the multitude of candles gave the chapel a soft, warm glow that was like nothing I’ve ever experienced during a ceremony. It was beautifully intimate.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds spent the last few hours of 2023 partying the night away. And when I say party…
...I mean PARTY!!!
